WRESTLEMANIA
Decent show, but not great. It certainly had it shares of ups and downs. Here’s
the report:
The Good
- Shawn Michaels vs Chris Jericho was a good match. Not great, but solid and
entertaining.
- Rock/Austin was OK and the finish was surprising.
- Lesnar/Angle OK, given the circumstances with Angle’s injury. Lesnar
shoulda pulled Angle closer for the shooting star to make for a perfect finish.
It’s obvious to me how green Lesnar still is, given Angle carrying a lot
of the match.. But still pretty good job by Brock in his first Wrestlemania match.
The Bad
- Triple H buries Booker T, like he did RVD, Kane, and Scott Steiner. Funny how
they went from main eventing to off the entire card.
- OK, it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t good and the outcome was never
in doubt, even with the surprise appearance by Piper.
- 4 hours? Not necessary.
Boxing
Rahman and Tua went to a draw. I will never root for Tua again. If he couldn’t
beat Rahman weighing 260lbs, he’ll never beat him. Heavy weight division
is in sad shape.
NCAA Tourney
I’ve torn up my bracket, Kentucky and Arizona let me down. I only have
one final four team, Texas. Good thing I didn’t bet any money this year.
